Getting Started

Sent May 15, 2013

Hello everyone!

After two months of preparing for my role, I’ve come to realize that there’s no time like the present. It’s time to get the ball rolling. This month we started training new volunteers, organizing our current volunteer programs, and planning our array of summer events. But that’s not all it’s time for!

It’s time to get started with CNIB. If you’re new to our organization, we’re hosting orientations for new volunteers and training for Vision Mates. And if you’re a current volunteer, there is an array of events that are coming up this summer that you can join. We want to see you getting involved on a regular basis during events, in your volunteer roles, and in planning!

Speaking of which, it’s time for us to start thinking about the future of CNIB. CNIB is planning for 2014 and we want you to contribute to our plan. To do so, please review the document Your CNIB, Your Future and share your opinions with us online.

And it’s time to stop letting our time go unnoticed. If you are actively volunteering at CNIB, we want to know so that we can keep accurate record of your hours. This helps prove that our programs are strong and growing, while letting us know just how thankful we should be to you for your time! Please send me your hours by the end of each month.

And now, it’s time for me to stop writing so you can get on to the updates!
